At The BLOOM ColleQtive
Our mission is to foster meaningful relationships through thoughtfully curated events that spark joy, conversation, and community. The vision is a welcoming "3rd space" where members can engage in playful activities, share experiences, and build lasting connections. We create vibrant, inclusive spaces (primarily on the Southside) where Black queer women and non binary folx can connect, thrive, and celebrate their identities.
Together, we cultivate an environment where everyone feels at home, seen, and ready to embrace the beauty of our diverse stories.

Who we are
The BLOOM ColleQtive is a social group that was dreamed up by a queer Black woman new to the city of Chicago, yearning to connect with other Black queer women and non-binary people in open and engaging spaces.
These events are meant to spark joy, conversation, and community. The vision is a home away from home where you can, share experiences, engage in playful activities and build lasting connections. Rather you’re looking for a place to meet new friends, network or have meaningful conversations and share in good times with Black queer women and non binary folx. These intentionally curated events give you the nudge that’s sometimes needed to spark new connections in the fast paced life we live.

Creating and sharing space with queer black women and non binary folx is what we do and we are thrilled to host and collaborate more queer events on the Southside!
The BLOOM ColleQtive focuses on events and programming that are designed to build community. We believe the best way to do that is to come together for a shared activity or experience and curating mixer events that are still spacious enough to cultivate friendships. Get excited for events like game/movie nights, creative workshops, day trips, open mic nights, book club, dinner outings, arts & crafts sessions, walking meet ups and so much more — all centered around queer Black women and non binary folks.
